This is fixed in the latest FOP package version 2.5 in the following patch: https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file/openSUSE:Factory/xmlgraphics-fop/java8-compatibility.patch?expand=1 I think, we can consider it as fixed for the time being. If this is not the case, just reopen it.
