I've setup a test machine running TW 20200818 and installed emacs-27.1-337 from
the editors repo. Problem persists as before:

    error in process sentinel: async-handle-result: End of file during parsing
    error in process sentinel: End of file during parsing

when installing packages from MELPA/GNU ELPA and when downloading enclosures in
Elfeed. Elfeed downloads fail entirely. It seems like package installations do
complete, but report the above error.

I can leave this test environment in place if you'd like me to test further
package builds or provide specific logs.
