I have checked the code, and YaST sets Pkg.SetSolverFlags( onlyRequires ) only for online update or autoinstallation: https://github.com/search?l=&q=onlyRequires+user%3Ayast&ref=advsearch&type=Code&utf8=%E2%9C%93 The logs that Lou attached only cover the good case with 1450 packages, and we would need to see the logs for the buggy case to find what actually happened, so I am afraid that we cannot fix this, sorry. Please reopen if you can reproduce it with logs.
