In upgrade, there is a strict requires on libvmtools = %version-%release, which
mean that this is not possible to update open-vm-tools without any kind of
warning saying that there is a conflict or there is a problem. There is no
reason to remove a package before doing an upgrade, and even if they do so, the
installation of the new package should handle the conflict or mismatch of the
lib. The only things that can cause problem is people using tarball or package
not done by us, which can cause some issue of course.
