Not quite. Base:System has a ~90 git commits newer snapshot with our patches
rebased:
https://build.opensuse.org/package/rdiff/Base:System/plymouth?opackage=plymouth&oproject=openSUSE%3AFactory&rev=380

I wonder why it was not submitted to factory yet as it's over half a year old
change already? Ah, it was, but was reverted due to bug 1224150:
https://build.opensuse.org/package/rdiff/openSUSE:Factory/plymouth?linkrev=base&rev=129

So if openSUSE:Factory/plymouth (22.02.122+94.4bd41a3) works and
Base:System/plymouth (22.02.122+180.b1d5aa9) does not, it's a pure regression.
Either in upstream or in the patches rebase. And that is actually already
reported in that bug 1224150. Isn't it actually what you (Thomas) is actually
seeing: "boot_encrypt: grub does not ask for encryption key"

@Cliff Zhao care to fix that bug and resubmit?
