Martin, did you really test with squid 3.1? It seems we've had a newer version
for a long time, according to

For reference, this is a handy table of options supported by various squid
versions http://www.squid-cache.org/Doc/config/

That table says "emulate_httpd_log" was still supported in 3.1 (but not in
newer versions).
