If you think this is a current problem that you'd like checking out please email directly with steps to test and I'll be happy to try it. Same for the utf8 mojibake in #2. :) Quick note on the actual issue. I ended up doing it manually with sfdisk. I haven't actually tried to use the partition but windows has yet to complain about it after I fixed the bcd/bootmanager ;)
