Well uid/gid limits are currently set at compile time only and can't be changed later at runtime, see the following links for the reasons: https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/9769 https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/10184 So I'll close this as UPSTREAM since it's a design decision rather than an bug. If you think that's wrong, please discuss it with upstream directly. Sorry.
