Original summary:
N68C-GS FX ASRock MCP61 10de:03ef forcedeth NIC crash

Symptoms:
1-Loading drivers during installation takes several minutes. It took many tries
before I determined that the PC was not locking up before it finally started
the GUI.
2-15.0 & 15.1 installation fail to configure NIC
3-NET installation fails to find any online repos
4-Plasma NetworkManager repeatedly notifies of failed connection
5-YaST cannot configure network
6-Shutdown/reboot is blocked by network/firewalld stop failure

Possible upstream bug (is still open):
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84881
[ASRock N68-VGS3 FX with onboard Gigabit LAN PHY RTL8211CL] Networking and ACPI
conflicts

Tried without apparent improvement:
acpi=strict
acpi=rsdt
acpi=noirq
acpi=off
noapic

Similar behaviors from Linuxmint 19.1 and TW20190701.

Dejavu bug 379478 ?

NET installation was successful by borrowing a Realtek PCI NIC.

Not my PC, so follow-up may not be possible unless soon.
