Also read your comment #4:
There was a hidden security approval [to make it possible to ship that 2.0.80
version] but that was declined due to security doubts. I made it possible to
build k3b without the required helper to make a inclusion possible.

Also most of the bugs from openSUSE users are fixed in Packman snapshot ...
