This might be a different issue, or perhaps I didn't understand your comment
properly? What I was referring to is a migration of the appropriate schemas to
org.gnome.desktop.peripherals that happened during the 3.15.x cycle. That
should probably be taken care of by
https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/343517
now, notwithstanding the libinput issue you mention.

I just checked, and i don't have xf86-input-libinput installed on my system:
