OK, thanks.  The next question is: what happens if you reload snd-usb-audio
module without replugging after login in runlevel 3 (i.e. non-working state).

After login, confirm that the audio on dock doesn't work.  Then, reload the
module, run below as root:
  modprobe -r snd-usb-audio
  modprobe snd-usb-audio
Then try test again.  Does it work?

If it starts working after reload, take alsa-info.sh snapshot before and after
reload for comparison.
