You rigth, openSUSE-release contains both 
/etc/products.d/openSUSE.prod and 
/etc/products.d/baseproduct

In OBS I see, that all changes in openSUSE-release are autogenerated. 
Ludwig, can you please fix openSUSE-release properly for openSUSE 42.2
(baseproduct should be mere symlink to openSUSE.prod)

After maintenance update of openSUSE-release will appear,
yast2-live-installer should still be updated to require updated
openSUSE-release and not initial version.
