Sorry for the noise, my bad.

I ended up comparing a vanilla weechat config with the one I had (which is
shared between the workstations I use). Turns out the problem was in
weechat.network.gnutls_ca_file setting, which pointed to
/etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt, while on TW the correct file is
/etc/ssl/ca-bundle.pem. Not sure how it worked before, but I'll keep on
digging.
