By default xterm's background color is white. By using "XTerm*background:
black" in the ~/XTerm file, it should change background color to black.
It doesn't happen anymore.
Other configuration like font size (XTerm*font: 9x15) or number of save lines
(XTerm*saveLines: 2000) works fine for me.
