Firefox Widevine plugin crashes after updating Tumbleweed to kernel 5.5.4. This
plugin is required for watching Amazon Prime.

The message in Firefox is "The plugin "" has crashed."

I rolled back to the release with kernel 5.5.2 and Firefox 72.0.2; it is
perfectly working there, so I first suspected an issue with Firefox itself
(which got updated to 73.0.1).

However, despite locking Firefox to 72.0.2, after doing the zypper dup, the
crashes appear again, so it seems to be something outside of Firefox.
