Starting steam via console gives you this output http://susepaste.org/5ccf4e9d

If you run as 

PATH=$PATH:/sbin steam

You get a much shorter output with lots of errors removed.

I spent a little time looking into this and discovered the following:


Valve reports that it uses lspci to detect graphics card for help when
streaming and at startup it outputs `sh: lspci: command not found`.

As for the fonts, I blind tested with screenshots of the store and thought the
font rendering with the path looked clearer. After zooming in there is actually
a difference.
