openSUSE (Leap 15, KDE) updated my VirtualBox installation to version 5.2.22 (5.2.22-lp150.4.23.1) from openSUSE-Leap-15.0-Update repository. After installation, VirtualBox has not started. It showed a "virtualbox effective uid is not root (euid=1000 egid=1000 uid=1000 gid=1000)" error message. Finally I found the solution at VirtualBox forum. I went to /usr/lib/virtualbox/ in Konsole, then typed chmod 4711 VirtualBox.
