I'm rather clueless why libvirtd is using ptrace on a child process, but I'm also suffering from lack of sleep after a lot of traveling. mlatimer is also seeing the bug, but I'm not able to reproduce on TW 20170825 with latest libvirt packages from http://download.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/repo/oss/ Perhaps I'll have some better ideas after some rest, but in the meantime enabling debug in /etc/libvirt/libvirtd.conf and attaching the log might give some hints. log_level = 1 log_outputs="1:file:/tmp/libvirtd.log Restart libvirtd, reproduce, attach /tmp/libvirtd.log
