Yes, please remove it. The option would be harmless unless you switch to snd-hda-intel driver (by passing snd-intel-dspcfg.dsp_driver=1), though. The problem that still sticks with the test kernels are the initialization of CS35L41 codec. You need to join to the upstream kernel bugzilla, I suppose, for tracking further.
