Looking at https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/series/114080/, I see that there are two patches in the series; reading the comments for patch #2, it looks like the two patches need to be applied as a pair. Is it possible the bug was caused by a missing patch #1 (drm/i915: Don't use stolen memory for ring buffers with LLC)?
