As of today, the update to pulseaudio allows not to use the profiles....but only in particular users. There is an issue of "focus steeling" where apparently, if several users are open and had paired with the device in the past, and the user that is active when the headset is switched on is e.g. third in a row but active on screen (that is tty7, 8 and 9, and you are tty9 active seat) the BT will pair with the headset in TTY9 correctly but will have no access to the profiles. When going to the user logged on earlier, pairing will work, and profiles will be switched. Sound is not excellent but a real improvement from before. Still the order in which either USB devices or BT devices are recognized by plasma seems still not logical or understandable. With BT devices, seats that are opened before seem to be superior when requesting pulseaudio profiles compared to seats that are opened after. If there is any possibility to log what is happening when the profile is not taken in these conditions, feel free to guide me, I will be happy to provide.
