The regression was introduced with v1.2.7. Yesterday I've submitted a new SR upgrading libcotp to v1.2.8 and that fixes the issue for good. The new version is already in factory (https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:Factory/libcotp) and should reach TW in a day or two.
