the package ships a: /etc/chromium/policies/managed/chrome-gnome-shell.json which has ExtensionInstallForcelist So if you try disable the extension you find out that it is impossible as it claims: Installed by enterprise policy. Usabilitywise that is suboptimal. as you have to re-install the package everytime you want to install or manage your extensions. disabling/enabling would be much more useful.
