You are aware that you are raising a bug for a non-supported package ? You
found this package in somebodies home project and you are raising a bug report
for it as that it doesn't work the way you want to see it work. 

Did you actually contacted the owner of the package to see how it should work ? 

By the look at the package, he is patching the desktop files and based on this
I am not sure how it should be started from a graphical environment.
