I've used linphone for a while on Leap 42.[1-3], latest fine running version
was 3.10.2.

Now, after upgrading to Leap 15.0, linphone was upgraded to 4.1.1 and is nearly
unusable:

- linphone 4.1.1 has an IMHO much nicer looking GUI than before, but nearly all
relevant OK/CANCEL etc. buttons are missing
E.g. the HOME screen: Where to click to "Invite your friends" or
"Account assistant" - both not available.
Another example: Klicking in the upper left corner opens a dialogue box,
dropdowns for "presence status" and "active account". No buttons for "ok",
"cancel" or similar. "ESC" does not work, no idea how to leave this dialogue at
first, only "kill -9" helped ... Found in the meantime, that there's an
"invisible" click area in the lower middle part of this dialogue.
Another example: Adding a contact, how to save??

-> Got the answer from the linphone mailing list: "I think you have a style
problem with the GUI, the master branch contains a patch with a style fix
(missing buttons, colors...)."

- linphone 4.1.1 does not offer anymore the option to type a phone# into the
text field in upper area and start to dial with <return>. Typed phone#
disappears, without further notice. Worked fine in 3.10.2. Typing
"sip:phone#@host" is a workaround, but IMHO really inconvenient. Esp. as
currently only manually added contacts seems to be possible, no support for
vcard anymore, so I have to type all phone# manually.

-> seems to be dropped feature: "I add your "phone#" suggestion in our TODO
list."

- no option anymore to initiate calls on command, e.g. via hook from prgs like
Kaddressbook, and pass them to the linphone GUI. flag "-c" for "linphone -c
phone#" has been silently dropped

--> answer was: "The command line is present in the master branch of Linphone
Desktop."

A pity, has been my favorite voip/sip-phone befor
