Something I thought about:

if btrfs is default and clean install
if btrfs is used inside that virtualmachine image

wouldnt you be able to make use of that kernel variable and systemd debug stuff
you asked for finding the desired crash reports?

then again: maybe this bug only happens when not using btrfs? i have never used
btrfs in production.

most my machines are in use over several generations of opensuse versions.

maybe i can still do a clean 42.2, then dup it to 42.3 and dup it to 15.0 and
see if i will eventually find this bug happening again all using btrfs from
scratch 42.2
