Sorry for the long delay, but we had a similar bug report already (bug#969768) and I was never able to reproduce this. Until now. Can you confirm that it only happens when hovering over folders in the trash, and that disabling previews for folders in dolphin's settings (General->Preview) fixes it? Or, differently asked, did you have that akonadi folder (~/.local/share/akonadi/) in the trash at some point in the past? I very much doubt that akonadi would create a /tmp/dolphin.xxx/ folder, so I don't think it's actually related to akonadi at all. The decision whether /tmp is cleaned automatically or not is completely unrelated to KDE in any case though.
