This morning, gdk-pixbuf 2.36.3 has been checked in to openSUSE:Factory, which means the snapshot 20160110 will contain the fix for this. You can already pre-test this by using gdk-pixbuf from GNOME:Factory - this could help confirm this issue already being fixed.
