I decided to test this. And, yes, I see the SuSE logo on the lock screen. Note that this is the Gnome lock screen from locking the session while using Gnome. If I instead login to KDE, then I get a different lock screen. When that Gnome lock screen is showing, with the SuSE logo, there are no processes being run by user "gdm" ps -fu gdm does not show any running processes. So perhaps it is a mistake to call this a GDM lock screen. Yes, it is similar to the GDM login screen. But then when I lock a KDE session, I get a lock screen similar to that of the SDDM login screen, even though I am not using SDDM. I won't mark this as confirmed because of that disagreement over whether it is GDM. Note that I did my testing with KVM virt-manager.
