I upgraded the PC the old-fashioned method: Boot from a newer installation DVD,
enabling network during upgrade.
>From what I've see the Nvidia driver packages are quite low quality regarding
packaging and system integration: After experimenting with a newer driver
(which wouldn't work with the crad), removing the newer packages and
re-installing the older ones, still left kernel modules and some other
directories around.
So effectively new old driver could not be re-installed until I cleaned up som
obsolete modules and directories...
