openSUSE is tracking released versions in the official repo's and not git snapshots. The current situation is that we have the latest official release of k3b (which is 2.0.2) in KDE:Extra and in openSUSE:Factory/13.2. On Packman we have a git snapshot of about 5 days ago. As long as packman is utilizing git snapshots, then this issue would remain and users will find a crippled version that they can not be enhanced by using the package from Packman. So I would even say that the issue is on the Packman side and that the version there should track what openSUSE is delivering so that users can have the right experience. Closing this bug as invalid as that the issue lies on Packman side.
