Hello Adam,
this is quite straightforward:
- create a directory with sufficient depth,
- put it into an archive file,
- try to see what shows within.

I attached a tiny script you can use to create a tar archive for this purpose.
If you unpack it normally (with tar) everything will be as expected. But if you
use either mc or double commander to view its contents, you'll be astonished
what you will see. Promised.
