https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=638366 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=638366#c0 Summary: update-kernel 2.6.34.4-0.1 causes delays and failures in keyboard-response Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rhamses@gmx.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100723 SUSE/3.6.8-0.1.1 Firefox/3.6.8 I have issues after kernel-update to version 2.6.34.4-0.1. When typing (wherever) there are delays in keyboard-response whereby single random characters are even omitted, especially often the first character when one begins typing and 'returns'. Very annoying! Kernel-downgrade via yast to an earlier kernel-version solves the problem immediately !!! The system used is: OpenSuse 11.3 x64 on Intel Core 2 Duo 6750, Intel P35/ICH9 chipset, nvidia 8600gt graphics controller, the latest rpm-drivers from download.nvidia.com for opensuse installed, Desktop used is KDE4/Compiz. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Kernel-update to 2.6.34.4-0.1 via yast online-update 2. Reboot, no further changes made 3. Actual Results: Delays in keyboard-response whereby single random characters are even omitted, especially the first character when one begins typing and 'returns'. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
