for me issue is not fixed. I just checked on Leap, doing zypper dup, installing
awesome, no personal theme. error message on startup:

Personal theme doesn't exist, falling back to openSUSE

reopening. Did you test it at all or do I still have differences in my
configuration which should not be the case as my setup is a clean virtual
machine install of Leap. It should be able to easily reproduce it using a local
test account and Xnest/Xephyr, see
