Hi Jean, The btrfsprogs is required by os-prober in order to probe all foreign distribution out of all btrfs subvolumes. Currently it is hard requirement as it is used to determine subvolumes to be mounted to test and will result in error if it went missing. I think we can make it optional as mounting default subvolume doesn't require it and should be enough for general use. After that we are good for downgrading it.
