Leap 15.0, using grub2-2.02-lp150.12.8.x86_64 and
yast2-bootloader-4.0.32-lp150.1.1.x86_64:
I'm installing bootloader to an own boot partition and boot it via a
chainloader grub (from another partition).
When I install the bootloader during installation I'm not able to boot the
system via chainloader: But if I booted the installed system (on another way)
and reinstall the bootloader from there with yast2-bootloader, it's installed
properly and the chainloading is working fine.
y2logs.tgz is attached.
