I think "'trampoline' into a *local* users session and use the *locally available* credentials" is also what /usr/bin/get_printing_ticket does. Basically all what I know about samba-krb-printing and /usr/bin/get_printing_ticket is described in bug#661845 in particular for a summary see my "help text in yast2-printer" in https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=661845#c7 I don't know the reason why samba-krb-printing was dropped. >From my point of view it seems it is still required for "Kerberized Printing to Windows AD Print Server/Share".
