A minimal-ish current Tumbleweed system would be able to run the testcase; it would stop doing so and instead throw the exception once texlive-arphic-fonts was installed. The presence of other texlive fonts seems to not play a role. On openSUSE 13.2, I can do the same: issuing `rpm -e texlive-arphic-fonts --nodeps`, and then the testcase starts to show the button.
