LVM 2.03.24 contains a changed set[1][2] of device-mapper udev rules which slightly modifies the semantics of the udev properties of dm devices. This introduces a dependency between LVM 2.03.24 and systemd[3], as well as multipath-tools 0.9.9. The risk of breakage is low (see in-depth discussion here), but we could make it even lower by patching systemd to include [3].
