User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0 Build Identifier: when using k3b with a sata dvd writer, inserting a raw DVD does not cause any message in device notification. When opening k3b the dvd is there. When trying to burn, you get a message that the device is taken by others and that you should shutdown the applications. If you do you factually end up with plasma shut down. If you do burn regardless of the warning, the DVD burns but is afterwords not readable correctly (even if done with very low speed). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. insert a DVD (empty) 2. no device notification, open k3b 3. burn the image, the error message pops up when you try to burn. Actual Results: or Plasma shuts down or the DVD is unreadable and broken. Expected Results: Device notifier should correctly notify of a empty DVD, K3b should not be in conflict with Plasma for the use of the device, the DVD should burn normally without errors, Plasma should not shut down. I will join two attachments with screen-shots. Feel free to guide me for more information, this is repeatable to a 100%.
