Nice that you are now working for SuSE, the distribution I'm using also :-) I'm very well aware of the Noto Indic fonts ��� I'm extending both FreeType and ttfautohint to cover all those scripts, providing auto-hinted versions of the fonts, cf. https://github.com/lemzwerg/noto-hinted Regardless of the Noto fonts, it bugs me to have broken fonts in openSuSE, thus my report.
