The plug just got pulled from upstairs :-/ I'm to switch OS/platform. What I can tell you is that the example up there ^^ of clean install from the installer disc, then immediate fail after kernel upgrade is 100% reproducible here. It got verified last nite by another person on a separate machine. I'll see maybe if I can get something testing eventually on a home machine.
