I backported the patch found in the upstream bugzilla,
commit 24835e442f289813aa568d142a755672a740503c
 drm: reference count event->completion

It'll be in Kernel:stable branch, and go to TW together with 4.9.7 or such
update.

Feel free to reopen if the issue is still not fixed.  There can be some hiccup
due to the faulty TV detection, but it's a slightly different issue, as it
seems.
