Felix, thanks for answering - I do realize that this ticket is quite old ;) Since it is so log that you've reported it: first we should find out if it can still be reproduced anywhere. If not it is likely it got fixed over the years and we don't have to bother. > The most used one, a common Logitech Marble, has never to my recollection > exhibited any type of failure on an already installed system. OK. > I don't remember (comment 25 was over two years ago). Comment 6 possibly > answered this implicitly. Please boot the TW system and perform the 'evtest' tests as in comment #25. When pressing and releasing the left button the output should look like this (without the line numbers): 1. Event: time 1447341561.360842, type 1 (Key), code 272 (LeftBtn), value 1 2. Event: time 1447341561.360842, -------------- Report Sync ------------ 3. Event: time 1447341562.963733, type 1 (Key), code 272 (LeftBtn), value 0 4. Event: time 1447341562.963733, -------------- Report Sync ------------ 1.& 2. are from button press (value 1), 3.& 4. are from button release (value 0). (From the timestamps you see that the button has been pressed for more than a second.) This was taken with a PS/2 device (like your trackball). If you get anything else (ie 2 consecutive 'value 1' - like in comment #25), something is wrong. 'evtest' in a recent TW should list the available devices for you.
