capture smb linux to windows 2k3 share
My pc (opensuse tumbleweed) at work is a member of a windows domain.
When I log on, pam_mount automatically mounts needed shares from our servers.
With the shares from windows 2003 server and lower I have a problem after 15
minutes to open these shares. It takes almost an hour before something happens.
With windows 2008 and higher I don't have this problem, so I guess it's the
combination of SMB 1 and windows 2k3 (or xp, same thing happens).
With the shares from our NAS (QNAP) the problem doesn't exist.
This is extremely annoying as I need those shares for my work. It is also a
problem when I need to add attachments to e-mails etc, because the file-chooser
hangs until the shares are reconnected.
I don't know what changed, a month ago everything was working fine.
I can't find anything in the logs (don't know where to start debugging).
With wireshark I see that the server is resetting the connection.
