If you experienced the problem that grub-install mistakenly install grub to
master boot record in the process of running shim-install, I believe it was a
result of target not explicitly specified in grub-install, most likely in
conjunction with KIWI image was built on a non efi system. The shim package has
fixed this problem in bsc#1118363.
