Hello, on my new laptop, a Lenovo Thinkpad p14s gen4, there's a fingerprint sensor that is recognized but do not work for unlocking the screen. $ dmesg [ 3.288862] [ T33] usb 1-5: Product: Goodix USB2.0 MISC [ 3.288865] [ T33] usb 1-5: Manufacturer: Goodix Technology Co., Ltd. $ fprintd-list pstivanin found 1 devices Device at /net/reactivated/Fprint/Device/0 Using device /net/reactivated/Fprint/Device/0 Fingerprints for user pstivanin on Goodix MOC Fingerprint Sensor (press): - #0: right-index-finger $ fprintd-verify Using device /net/reactivated/Fprint/Device/0 Listing enrolled fingers: - #0: right-index-finger Verify started! Verifying: right-index-finger Verify result: verify-match (done) What happens: I'm using KDE6 on Tumbleweed latest snapshot. When I turn on fingerprint auth in the Users system settings, if I lock the screen I get a black screen and the fingerprint's led turns green. If I use the finger I enrolled, nothing happens. I have to press Esc and then blindly type the password to unlock the screen. As soon as I disabled the fingerprint auth, the lock screen works as expected. I tried also on GNOME and, while there GDM does appear when fingerprint auth is turned on, the unlock doesn't work too.
