The system loads the linux kernerl and some boot messages are shown. After that, the green progress bar comes up and progress to 100%. Then some messages are shown in the top left corner. After that, the following lines are there: Probing connected terminal... Initializing virtual console... Found a Linux console terminal on /dev/console (100 columns x 37 lines). And now the installation hangs - no more activity... The same procedure with an openSuSE 12.2 ISO connected to that guest works as expected. Also an early Factory ISO version with openSuSE 13.1 milestone 3 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create guest on ESXi 4.1 machine 2. Connect the 13.1 RC1 ISO 3. Boot from ISO Actual Results: The installation hangs before YaST should start Expected Results: The installation should work When select the installation option "Check installation media" the ISO is checked successfully with message "no error found". When selecting "OK" after that, the system boot but stops at the same line (console terminal) but there are an addittional error message above this line: starting dbus...Unknown username "polkitd" in message bus configuration file Unknown username "polkitd" in message bus configuration file Failed to start message bus: Failed to bind socket "/run/dbus/system_bus_socket": No such file or directory starting klogd... ok rcnscd: no such service nscd starting yast Probing connected terminal...
