I tested the new kernel in our virtual Machine with Leap 15.4: 5.14.21-150400.1.g49cd107-default #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Tue Mar 21 05:21:38 UTC 2023 (49cd107) x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/tiwai:/bsc1209457-2/pool/ I can rename a directory or file and the file permissions and ownership are preserved and not turned to ? and the file/directory does not dissappear in dolphin. But maybe someone should test this in a real machine.
